BNNP Aceh destroys about 30,000 cannabis plants on 12 hectares at Alue Jring, Blang Meurandeh

Komparatif.ID reported that the Aceh provincial narcotics board (BNNP Aceh) destroyed about 12 hectares of cannabis at Alue Jring in Blang Meurandeh village, Beutong Ateuh Banggalang, Nagan Raya, on Saturday 15 August 2026. The operation was led by the head of BNNP Aceh, Brigjen Pol Dedy Tabrani, with support from Polres Nagan Raya and the Beutong Ateuh Banggalang police post. The team reported about 30,000 plants between 1.5 and 3.5 metres tall and an estimated four months old, growing at about 1,800 metres above sea level. Personnel reached the site at about 13:00 local time, uprooted the plants and burned them on the spot until about 18:00.
