Army intelligence detachment says it burned about 3,500 cannabis plants on 1.5 hectares in Lambada, Seulimeum

Grow Media Indonesia reported that the Intelligence Detachment of Kodam Iskandar Muda (Deninteldam IM) secured and destroyed a cannabis field of 1.5 hectares in the mountains of Desa Lambada, Lamteuba mukim, Seulimeum subdistrict, Aceh Besar, on Thursday 17 September 2026. According to the report, the detachment found about 3,500 plants 100 to 150 cm tall and destroyed them on the spot by burning, and it secured cooking equipment in the field that was believed to be used by the person managing it. The detachment travelled 5 km overland through steep terrain and dense vegetation to reach the site. The report says the identity of the manager was still being established.
