Aceh Besar police destroy about 3,500 cannabis plants on one hectare at Pulo in Seulimeum

Prohaba and RRI reported that a joint team of 52 officers from the Aceh Besar district police destroyed a cannabis field of about one hectare in the forested hills of Desa Pulo, Seulimeum subdistrict, on 15 September 2026, under Operasi Antik Seulawah II. The team walked about five kilometres from the Seulimeum police post to reach the site, where it found about 3,500 plants between one and two metres tall. The plants were uprooted and destroyed on site, most of them by burning according to Prohaba, and the narcotics unit kept a small sample as evidence. No arrests were reported, and police said they would investigate who planted and financed the field. Coordinates are the Seulimeum subdistrict centroid.
