Kodam Iskandar Muda team destroys an estimated 50 hectares of cannabis at Blang Meurandeh, Nagan Raya

Prohaba reported that a joint army team from Kodam Iskandar Muda destroyed cannabis fields at Blang Meurandeh village, Beutong Ateuh Banggalang, Nagan Raya, on Wednesday 8 July 2026. The operation was led by the Nagan Raya district military commander, Letkol Inf Irfan Hade Fitrianto, with about 50 soldiers from Deninteldam Iskandar Muda, Korem 012/Teuku Umar, Kodim 0116/Nagan Raya, Denpom IM/2 Meulaboh and Yonif TP 856/Satria Bumi Sakti. The fields lay in the Beutong Ateuh mountains about 70 kilometres from the regency capital and were reached by a walk of 7 kilometres over steep ground. The commander put the total area at an estimated 50 hectares and said the find came from intelligence work. According to the report, the plants ranged from 15 days to four months old and most were ready for harvest.
