Khalifa Genetics is a cannabis seed company. Its website, khalifagenetics.com, sells hybrids bred by the company and seed of lines it sells as landraces, from India, Nigeria, the Philippines and elsewhere. The site's footer names KG Products Ltd, of Dublin. The company calls itself "a small group of passionate breeders". It says that its seed production is organic, that it stores its seed in a dedicated facility and that it renews its seed stock every year.[1] Other seed shops resell its lines, among them ACE Seeds, Mandala Seeds and the Austrian retailer Mr. Hanf.[2][3][4]
The shop
In October 2026 the site divided its seed into a hybrid collection, a landrace collection and Califrosty's Collection. It also carried merchandise, a blog and pages of growing and landrace information, in English, French and Spanish. Its footer reads "© 2018 Khalifa Genetics". A disclaimer on every page says that the company sells seed "strictly for souvenir purposes only or for storage in case the laws change and for the preservation of cannabis seeds for future generations".[1]
The earliest archived copy of its Rasol Village page dates from December 2019.[5] In February 2026, 15 of the 231 products in ACE Seeds' online catalogue were filed under the Khalifa Genetics brand.[2]
Where its landrace seed came from
Khalifa Genetics credits the Indian seed collector Coco Genes with three of its lines. Of Rasol Village it writes: "Our friend at Coco Genes collected the seeds directly at source. These are from the 2018 harvest."[6] It says that Coco Genes obtained Kerala Chellakutti from farmers in Kerala.[7] It also says that a member of the "Collector Collective Genes" collected the first generation of its Kullu Valley line.[8] The Rasol Village page adds that "a percentage of each sale of Rasol seed pack is used to help the people of India preserve their Landraces."[6]
ACE Seeds says that a Nigerian line in Khalifa's catalogue had belonged to the Afropips seedbank. In ACE's account a community of collectors kept the line after Afropips closed, and Khalifa Genetics obtained it in 2020.[9]
For Filipino Kibungan, Khalifa Genetics writes that "a local Filipino grower offered us these heirloom seeds for their reproduction and preservation". It calls the line a highland tropical sativa from the mountains of the north of the Philippines. The page was online by October 2021.[10]
Reproduction
The sellers of Khalifa's Indian seed describe it in two ways. ACE Seeds says that the Khalifa team "performed a controlled open pollination (indoors)" on the Rasol seed, and labels it P2. Its Kerala Chellakutti listing calls the seed "Landrace Strain (P2) open pollinated indoors to increase the sexual stability".[11][12] In an April 2020 post on the forum International Cannagraphic Magazine, the member dubi wrote that "the Indian seeds bred by Khalifa Genetics are P2, P3, etc".[13] Mandala Seeds calls its Rasol Village stock "1st-generation seeds collected directly by Coco Genes at source".[3]
ACE Seeds says that the first reproduction of the Nigerian line gave a high proportion of hermaphrodites, and that two further controlled open pollinations improved its sexual stability. It labels the seed P4.[9]
