Sheberghan Hash Plant 2018 is a seed accession of the cannabis line that Khalifa Genetics sells under the name Sheberghan Hash Plant. The company calls it a hash-plant landrace used by farmers near the city of Sheberghan, in Jowzjan Province of northern Afghanistan, to make a sweet, fruity and very sticky hashish, and says that the seed was collected there in 2018.[1]
Geography
The company says that Sheberghan was a settlement on the ancient Silk Road, that most people of the region are Uzbek, and that although Balkh and Mazar-i-Sharif are better known, Sheberghan also produces sieved hashish of exceptional quality. It notes that autumn is very dry in Jowzjan.[1]
Collection Details
Khalifa Genetics writes: "Landrace Genetics personally collected seeds in the Jowzjan Province near the city of Sheberghan in 2018." It calls Landrace Genetics a strain hunter who specialises in collecting and preserving Afghan and Pakistani landraces, and says that it then adapted the line to indoor growing by reducing hermaphroditism and undesirable phenotypes while keeping most of its genetic diversity.[1] ACE Seeds, which stocks the line, labels its seed P3 in one row of its specification table and P2 in another.[2]
Cultivation Details
The company calls the line easy to grow indoors and outdoors. It says that the plants only double in size during the flowering stretch, need more nutrients than most landraces but less than most modern hybrids. They stand very high and very low temperatures but need low humidity while flowering.[1] ACE Seeds puts indoor flowering at 9 to 11 weeks and the outdoor harvest in the first half of October.[2]
Botanical Characteristics
The company describes leafy buds, moderately to very dense, covered in sticky trichomes, with a frosty coat of resin on most of the small leaves too. The branches are strong and rarely need support. Most plants have broad leaflets; some are narrower.[1]
Aroma
The company describes a hashy, earthy smell with faint notes of skunk, not very pungent, and a sweet taste that coats the mouth and lingers.[1]
Effects
The company says that the line soothes the mind and relaxes the muscles, with potency from mild to strong according to the plant. Some plants are CBD-dominant, some balanced between THC and CBD and some THC-dominant.[1]
