Page scope
Khalifa Genetics is about the holder itself. The seed lines it sells have their own accession pages, and the article lists them.
Sourcing
Almost everything known about this holder comes from its own website and from the shops that resell its seed. Discuss attribution, independent sourcing and any claim that has lost its attribution here.
Discussion
Attribution points
- Legal entity. The site's footer names KG Products Ltd, of Dublin; the street address it also gives is not reproduced. The footer is the only source for the registered name, and it gives no incorporation date.
- Founding date. No source gives one. The footer reads "© 2018" and the site's logo files sit in an upload folder dated November 2018; neither is a founding date.
- Self-description. "A small group of passionate breeders", the organic seed production, the storage facility and the yearly renewal of seed stock are the company's own statements on About Us, attributed in the article.
- Califrosty's Collection. Named as a section of the shop only. The site does not say who Califrosty is.
- "Landrace". The company's description of its lines as landraces is its own claim and is attributed.
- Mr. Hanf. The retailer's listing of Filipino Kibungan is cited only for the fact that it sells the line.
Source discrepancies
- Whether Khalifa's Indian seed is the collected seed
- Khalifa Genetics, Rasol Village: "Our friend at Coco Genes collected the seeds directly at source. These are from the 2018 harvest." Kullu Valley: "collected the seeds (The first generation) directly at source".
- Mandala Seeds, Rasol Village: "1st-generation seeds collected directly by Coco Genes at source".
- ACE Seeds, Rasol: "The Khalifa team then performed a controlled open pollination (indoors) in order to increase the sexual stability"; labelled P2. Kerala Chellakutti: P2, open-pollinated indoors.
- dubi, ICMag, 2 April 2020: "So the Indian seeds bred by Khalifa Genetics are P2, P3, etc".
The same split is discussed on Talk:Coco Genes and Talk:COC-IND-HIM-0120180001-R1.
- Filipino Kibungan
- Khalifa Genetics' own page (21 October 2021, the Wayback Machine's earliest capture, and live): "a local Filipino grower offered us these heirloom seeds for their reproduction and preservation".
- The Mr. Hanf listing, reproducing the company's text: "A local Filipino breeder offered us these heirloom seeds for reproduction and preservation".
Neither text says whether the seed on sale is the original seed or Khalifa's reproduction of it. See Talk:KHA-PHL-UNK-0120210001.
Not in the article
- The blog's histories of Afghan and Indian cannabis.
- The Filipino Kibungan listing's statement on Philippine law, which is retailer copy and not a legal source.
- The hybrid collection and Califrosty's Collection, beyond their names.
