ACE Seeds is a cannabis seed vendor based in Spain that sells seed of pure and stabilised cannabis varieties, together with hybrids bred from them. It describes itself as a collective of cannabis breeders dedicated to the preservation and study of the plant, and its site header calls it a cannabis breeding and preservation association. The site states that ACE Seeds has been offering its genetics since 2005.

Its catalogue is divided into a Pure and stabilized section and sections for hybrids, feminised lines, limited editions, CBD-rich lines and autoflowering lines. The pure and stabilised section is the documentary basis for the accessions catalogued below, each of which names ACE Seeds as its seed storage location.

Corporate identity

The site gives its operator as ACE Web Progress SL, at 46111 Rocafort, Valencia, Spain, with the Spanish VAT number ESB98476583 and the contact address info@aceseeds.org.

The trading date of 2005 given on the About page and the corporate identity of ACE Web Progress SL are stated separately on the site, and the sources consulted do not say when that company was formed or what arrangement, if any, preceded it.

Catalogue and brands

ACE Seeds sells lines under its own name alongside lines of other seed businesses. A catalogue snapshot of 27 February 2026 holds 231 products, of which 84 are filed under the ACE Seeds brand, 25 under Indian Landrace Exchange, 15 under Khalifa Genetics, four under Green Mountain Seeds and one under Romulan Genetics. Of the 70 products in the Pure and stabilized section of that snapshot, 23 carry the ACE Seeds brand.

An earlier version of the site carried a brand section for Cannabiogen, a Spanish seed business whose lines ACE Seeds listed alongside its own. ACE Seeds attributes the breeding of its Pakistan Chitral Kush line to work begun by Cannabiogen in the mid-1990s.

Because the catalogue carries several businesses, a line sold by ACE Seeds is not necessarily one that ACE Seeds collected or bred. The accessions below are confined to lines the catalogue files under the ACE Seeds brand.

Stated preservation aims

The About page states that the planet is losing genetic diversity, that cannabis is no exception and that it is the responsibility of the species to preserve such forms of life. It describes pure varieties as the origin of all existing commercial and domestic varieties and as a consequence of the adaptation of the plant to different ecosystems and of long relationships between people and cannabis.

It gives the reasons it considers pure varieties to be disappearing as the loss of their habitats, wars, the loss of older cultures, genetic contamination of local varieties through globalisation and, above all, prohibition. It states that many pure varieties have cannabinoid and terpene profiles that could be applied to treating disease, and that ACE Seeds aims to counter what it calls the inbreeding depression of commercial varieties by breeding hybrids from its own stabilised lines.

These are the vendor's statements of its own purpose. No independent assessment of its preservation work was found among the sources consulted.

Documentation practice

Listings in the pure and stabilised section carry a description of the population, its origin where the vendor states one, and links to cannabinoid and terpene analyses. Several also link to a genotype report held by Phylos Bioscience.

The detail given about origin varies by line. The Honduras listing says that the ACE Seeds team preserved the population in 2015; the Morocco Beldia Kif listing names the Ketama and Chefchaouen areas of the Rif; the Nepal Annapurna listing places its source on the slopes of Annapurna above 2,000 metres; and the Thai listing names Chiang Mai. Others give a country only.

Legal position

The legal notice states that cannabis seeds are not regulated under the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 1961, that Cannabis sativa seeds do not contain delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and that in Spain the sale, possession and cultivation of cannabis seeds for personal use is not a criminal offence. It says the seeds are sold to adults as items for collection or genetic conservation, with a restriction against use contrary to current legislation, and cites the European Union principle of mutual recognition for sales within the Union.

The notice disclaims liability for buyers' legal difficulties, states that ACE Seeds does not ship to countries where possession of seed is forbidden, and states that it accepts no responsibility for the destinations to which its wholesalers and retailers send seed, which it describes as independent companies without a legal relationship to ACE Seeds.

The site also states that the descriptions alluding to the effects of consumption are informative only.
