The Rif Mountains (Arabic: Ar-Rīf; Tarifit Berber: Arif) are a mountain range running along the northern coast of Morocco from the Strait of Gibraltar east toward the Moulouya basin. The Rif is the country's traditional kif cultivation zone and one of the longest-standing drug-type cannabis production landscapes still under farmer management.[1]
