Calvo AQ2792 is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa collected on 17 June 2008 at Bab Taza, in the Talassemtane National Park in the western Rif Mountains of Morocco, by J. Calvo and A. Quintanar. The Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid holds the sheet as MA-01-00782657.[1] The catalogue records the plant as a crop: cultivo sobre substrato silíceo, cultivated on siliceous ground.
Collection and locality
The catalogue gives the locality as Bab Taza, P.N. Talasetmane, the habitat as cultivo sobre substrato silìceo, the date as 17 June 2008, the collectors as J. Calvo & A. Quintanar and the number as AQ2792, with a coordinate of 35.0906, −5.16.[1] Bab Taza is a rural commune in Chefchaouen Province, and the Talassemtane National Park lies in the same province.[2][3]
The same collectors' other sheets from that stop on 17 June 2008 record the habitat as matorral de encinar-enebral sobre substrato silìceo, holm oak and juniper scrub on siliceous ground. Of the sixteen sheets from the stop, this is the only one recorded as cultivated.[4]
