Cannaflex says Beldia-derived medical cannabis has been dispensed in Swiss pharmacies

Agence Ecofin reported on 2 September 2026 that the Moroccan company Cannaflex had announced, in a communique published on 31 August, that medical cannabis derived from the local Beldia variety and grown in northern Morocco had been dispensed in licensed Swiss pharmacies. The company said the delivery was carried out with Pharmaserv AG of Stansstad in the canton of Nidwalden and followed two years of work on Swiss regulatory, quality and traceability requirements, and it reported an extract assaying 52.54 per cent total THC and 0.12 per cent CBD. Cannaflex did not disclose the volumes supplied, the commercial terms or the number of pharmacies involved. Agence Ecofin situated the announcement within the licensed sector created by Morocco's 2021 legalisation of medical, pharmaceutical and industrial use, under which the national agency ANRAC issues cultivation, processing and export authorisations.
