Hespress reports 1,100 hectares of legal cannabis harvested in Morocco's three authorised provinces and 1,490 authorisations withdrawn

Hespress Français reported, citing data on the legal cannabis sector without naming who compiled it, that 1,100 hectares, 60% of the area given to the local variety across the three provinces where cultivation is authorised, had been harvested, with Taounate at 92%. It reported that the national cannabis regulation agency ANRAC had withdrawn 1,490 authorisations for failing to follow regulatory procedures, nearly 1,300 of them held by farmers, and that the imported variety's harvest began in October and was expected to run to December 2026.
