Bishramganj Police destroys 2 lakh ganja saplings on 100 acres at ONGC Tilla, Anandanagar, Vijayanagar
On Monday 1 January 2024, a Bishramganj Police Station-led joint operation destroyed approximately 200,000 cannabis saplings across approximately 100 acres of Forest Department land in the ONGC Tilla, Anandanagar and Vijayanagar areas under Bishramganj Police Station, Bishalgarh sub-division, Sepahijala district. The operation, conducted on intelligence input, was led by Bishramganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Subimal Debnath with personnel from Bishalgarh Police, Tripura State Rifles, the Border Security Force, Narcotics Control Bureau and Forest Department. The operation lasted approximately five hours. No arrests were made.
