BSF and Jatrapur Police destroy 50,000 ganja plants at Neuramura South Taiban, near BOP Salpokar

On Monday 29 July 2024, a Border Security Force-led joint operation with Jatrapur Police Station personnel and the Forest Department destroyed approximately 50,000 cannabis plants on approximately half a hectare of land at Village Neuramura South Taiban, in the depth area of Border Out Post (BOP) Salpokar under Jatrapur Police Station, Sonamura sub-division, Sepahijala district. The operation followed specific intelligence input. Plants were destroyed by cutting and uprooting. Legal action by the concerned departments was being taken against the landowner.
