Joint patrol destroys three hectares with about 30,000 cannabis plants on Tor Sihite hill

A joint team led by the commander of Kodim 0212/Tapanuli Selatan destroyed a cannabis field of about three hectares at Tor Sihite above Desa Rao-Rao Dolok, Tambangan district, on 29 July 2025. Detik reported around 30,000 plants aged three to five months at about 950 metres elevation, most nearing harvest. The patrol walked about five hours from Desa Tambangan Tonga before pulling and burning the plants on site, keeping 320 as evidence. Kapendam I/Bukit Barisan Kolonel Inf Asrul Kurniawan Harahap announced the operation.
