Border task force finds 296 cannabis plants at Aldom in Oksibil

Kumparan reported that a joint patrol of the border security task force of Infantry Battalion 751/Vira Jaya Sakti, working with the Prayudha and Ketapang task forces, found 296 cannabis plants at Kampung Aldom in Oksibil district, Pegunungan Bintang regency, on 23 September 2025. The report said the plants stood about 1.5 metres and had been concealed among cassava, mustard greens and maize, and that personnel used drone surveillance to identify the site before searching it on foot. The battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel Erwan Harliantoro, was quoted on the task force's role in protecting communities from narcotics alongside its border duties. The report said the plants were destroyed and the evidence handed to police, and no arrests were reported.
