Kumarghat SDPO destroys 20,000 ganja plants on 8 plots at Ramdula para, Pecharthal

On Monday 18 December 2023, a special anti-narcotics drive in the Ramdula para forest reserve area under Pecharthal Police Station, Kumarghat sub-division, Unakoti district, destroyed approximately 20,000 mature cannabis plants across eight plots. The plants were uprooted and burned at the site. The operation was led by Kumarghat Sub-Divisional Police Officer Kamal Debbarma with Deputy Superintendent of Police (Probationary) Utpalendu Debnath, Pecharthal Police Station officer and staff, and personnel of the 8 Battalion Tripura State Rifles.
