Ie bu peudah is a spiced rice porridge that the people of Aceh Besar cook during Ramadan. The name joins the Acehnese words ie (water), bu (rice) and peudah (spicy). It is made from 44 plant ingredients, gathered and cooked together in a large pan.[2]: 1188

In January 2020 Syardani M. Syarif, a commentator on cannabis from Aceh, told a discussion at Kamp Biawak in Aceh Besar that ie bu peudah was among the Acehnese dishes often cooked with cannabis seed, together with kuah beulangong and kari sie itek. He said the practice went back to "nenek buyut kita" (our great-grandparents) and that the seed was now seldom used because the law had grown strict.[1]
