The Thunja population is the cannabis of Thunja village and its fields in the Thunja appellation, in the Parvati Valley growing area of Kullu District, Himachal Pradesh, India. The Zomia Collective's collection documentation counts Thunja among the three main charas-producing villages of the Grahan side valley, with Grahan and Pulgi. It places Thunja's fields on south-west-facing slopes at about 2,500 m and classes the valley's cannabis as a narrow-leaflet drug-type landrace population grown for charas.[1]

Accessions

One selection was collected at Thunja under the expedition code HIMA01. Five general-population collections followed under HIM25 on 29 October 2025.
