Ketama is a cannabis appellation in the Ketama growing area, covering the rural commune of Ketama in Al Hoceima Province, in the central Rif Mountains of northern Morocco.
Geography
The appellation is the commune. It adjoins the Abdelghaya Souahel and Issaguen appellations.
History
Writing in 1975, the anthropologist Roger Joseph found kif growing in northern Morocco centred almost exclusively on the tribes of Ketama and Beni Seddath; kif from other areas was held to be inferior in strength and texture.[1]: 186
