Corinto 2022 is a seed accession of the cannabis line that The Landrace Team (TLT) sells as Corinto, the name used in Colombia for marijuana from the area around Corinto. TLT calls it a pure Colombian variety "preserved since the 70’s", from the lines once grown in the vereda of La Cominera, in Corinto, and at Caloto, in the department of Cauca.[1]
History
TLT says that the line was locally called "Coro", and that some collectors also call it "Limon Verde", "Cominera", "Corinto Purple" or "Corinto Monster". It says that the plant can no longer be found in those places, because Dutch and American hybrids that give a farmer three or four harvests a year have replaced the Corinto type and its "sisters like Punto Rojo", which can take up to nine months to finish.[1]
The earliest archived capture of TLT's own page for the line was made on 10 December 2022.[2]
Growth
TLT puts the vegetative stage at 13 to 15 weeks and flowering at 12 to 16 weeks. It describes several phenotypes, tall and short, conical, with a large central flower, light green leaves of seven and nine thin leaflets, and some plants that turn dark purple in leaf and flower late in flowering. It gives heights from 150 cm to 3 m, and says it has found up to eight phenotypes. It says that the plants resist pests, diseases and extreme conditions, and that it has grown them from 500 to 2,100 m above sea level.[1]
Aroma and effects
TLT lists aromas of lemon peel, cumin, fruit, paprika, tangerine and lilac, with what it calls a "river/creek type of smell". It calls the effect devastating in its potency, powerful, psychoactive and euphoric, lasting up to four hours.[1]
