The Paris catalogue gives the locality as Muông Pun pro : de San Neua. Récolté entre Na Ham et Nam Anh (Muong Pun in the province of Sam Neua, collected between Na Ham and Nam Anh), the date as 17 September 1920, and the collector as Poilane, E., number 1897.

The Kew record carries the same collector and number and the date 17/09/1920, with the locality given only as Laos. Kew's catalogue codes the country as Viet Nam.

Specimen and identification

The catalogue's field note describes the plant: Plante de 3m de haut, fleurs blanches, plantée près d'une cai nha meo, écorce verte, rameaux alternes, feuilles composées, 5 folioles, longues et dentelées (a plant 3 m tall), with white flowers, planted near a cai nha meo, green bark, alternate branches, compound leaves of five long, toothed leaflets.
