Ghana Customs seize 560.4 kg of suspected cannabis in 1,065 parcels from a black Lexus at Torve, Volta Region

Modern Ghana reported that the Preventive Monitoring Unit of the Customs Division's Aflao Sector Command, acting on intelligence, stopped a black Lexus at Torve, near Akatsi, at about 9.35 pm on Thursday 15 October. A search found 1,065 compressed parcels of suspected cannabis weighing 560.4 kilograms. The driver abandoned the vehicle, which the report says carried falsified registration plates, and fled; the consignment and the vehicle were handed to the Narcotics Control Commission.
