PDEA-led team uproots about 36,000 marijuana plants at Saclit in Sadanga

Daily Tribune reported that a joint team led by the Mountain Province provincial office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency uprooted and burned about 36,000 fully grown marijuana plants on 14 September 2026. The plants were growing on a parcel of about 6,000 square metres of public land along the boundary of Barangay Saclit in Sadanga, Mountain Province, and Tinglayan, Kalinga. The team included the Sadanga municipal police station, the provincial intelligence and drug enforcement units and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company. The plants were valued at 7.2 million pesos. No cultivators were found at the site and an investigation was reported to be under way. Coordinates are the Sadanga municipal centroid.
