PNP destroys ₱25.7M worth of marijuana in 22 Cordillera operations, 13–19 April 2026

The Philippine National Police reported 22 cannabis eradication operations conducted across the Cordillera Administrative Region between 13 and 19 April 2026, yielding approximately 94,918 fully grown plants and 56.6 kilograms of dried material, with a combined value of ₱25.7 million. Benguet accounted for 17 operations, 14,418 plants, and ₱9.68 million worth of material. A single operation in Mountain Province yielded 60,000 plants valued at ₱12 million. Four operations in Kalinga destroyed 20,500 plants valued at ₱4.1 million. PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. framed the week's activity as part of a sustained campaign against cannabis at source, aligned with the PNP's Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations.
