Bishramganj Police destroys 12,000 ganja plants on 6 plots at Amarendranagar

On Sunday 30 November 2025, a Bishramganj Police Station-led operation destroyed approximately 12,000 mature cannabis plants across six plots in deep forest areas at Amarendranagar, Bishalgarh sub-division, Sepahijala district. The operation was led by Bishramganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Inspector Ajit Debbarma with personnel of the 11 Battalion Tripura State Rifles. The operation was one of three same-day Sepahijala district destruction drives, alongside parallel ops led by Sonamura Police Station and Madhupur Police Station, totalling over 442,000 plants destroyed district-wide.
