Sitai police and BSF destroy cannabis across about 16 bighas at Kanjlikura in Cooch Behar

Uttarbanga Sambad reported that a joint team of Sitai police station and the Border Security Force raided the Kanjlikura border area of Sitai on Thursday morning. The report said cannabis plants spread across about 16 bighas of land were identified and cut down with the help of a tractor. No arrest was made. Police sources told the paper there had been long standing complaints about cultivation in the area, and both police and the BSF said surveillance would continue.
