Churaibari Police destroys 5,000 ganja plants at Katuacharra, Balicharra ADC, North Tripura

On Sunday 2 November 2025, a Churaibari Police Station-led operation destroyed approximately 5,000 cannabis plants on tilla land at Katuacharra in Ward No. 2 of Balicharra ADC Village, Churaibari Police Station area, North Tripura district. The operation ran from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm under the supervision of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dharmanagar with Churaibari Police Station personnel and Tripura State Rifles. The cultivation site was located in remote and isolated terrain approximately 3 km from the National Highway. The illicit cultivation was uprooted and destroyed on the spot.
