Assam Rifles destroy 75,000 ganja plants on 100 acres at Dhanirampur, Sonamura

In the early hours of Saturday 11 January 2025, an Assam Rifles-led joint operation with Tripura Police and the Tripura Forest Service destroyed approximately 75,000 cannabis plants spread across 100 acres in the Dhanirampur area under Sonamura Police Station, Boxanagar Forest Range, Sepahijala district. Officials estimated the destroyed material at approximately ₹2.9 crore.
