Keijo Model Farm General Population 1917 is a historical seed accession of Cannabis sativa that the United States Department of Agriculture received from Keijo (now Seoul), Korea, on 31 March 1917 and numbered plant introduction (PI) 44370.[1] No seed of the lot survives. The National Plant Germplasm System, whose database carries the department's introductions, says the accession "no longer exists and can not be requested".[1]
The lot
Nagashima of the Government Industrial Model Farm at Keijo presented the seed through Lyster H. Dewey, received on 31 March 1917. The department's printed inventory notes that it "differs somewhat from other so-called Keijo strains", and that a single trial suggested it was less productive.[2] The same day the department received a lot from Seoul that had come through the Yokohama Nursery Company (NPG-KOR-SEO-0019170002).
