Keijo Model Station General Population 1914 is a historical seed accession of Cannabis sativa that the United States Department of Agriculture received from Keijo (now Seoul), Korea, on 12 January 1916 and numbered plant introduction (PI) 41728.[1] No seed of the lot survives. The National Plant Germplasm System, whose database carries the department's introductions, says the accession "no longer exists and can not be requested".[1]
The lot
Kosuke Honda, director of the Agricultural and Industrial Model Station at Keijo, presented the seed through Lyster H. Dewey of the Bureau of Plant Industry. The department's printed inventory, which gives the place as Keijo, Chosen (Korea), describes it as "Seed of the 1914 crop grown at this station."[2]
