Mudra was a drink of bhang mixed with liquor, recorded in Baluchistan and the Punjab in the 1890s. The Indian Hemp Drugs Commission reported in 1894 that in Baluchistan there was "said to be a drink called mudra", compounded of dhatura, bhang, alcohol and opium. The drink was also known in the Punjab.[1]: 157 In the Punjab evidence Bhagat Hira Nand of Rawalpindi gave the name to any mixture of liquor with bhang, which raised the drinker's daily cost.[2]

In 1957 I. C. and R. N. Chopra, spelling it madra, wrote that in parts of Baluchistan this drink of dhatura, opium, bhang and alcohol "used to be a popular intoxicant".[3]
