Derg Corra Collective (also Derg Corra and DergCorra Collective) is a cannabis seed collective. It releases reproductions of older seed lines and of seed that, it says, was collected in Pakistan, Iraq and Afghanistan. Its profile on the seed database SeedFinder says that the collective runs with the support of a wide range of breeders and growers and that its main aim is to save old, rare or wild strains from disappearing and to maintain biodiversity. The same profile says that it gives a third of its income to reforestation or other charity projects.[1] Its seed is sold through the online seed shop SeedHeaven, which lists its lines under the collective's name.[2]
Lines and their stated origins
SeedFinder lists ten of the collective's lines, all of them sold as regular seed.[1] Several are grown from seed collected in named places. The collective calls Aunt of Farouk a wild Pakistani strain. Its description says that a man named Farouk collected the seed in a small village behind his aunt and uncle's house, and that the line was reproduced by open pollination.[3] It says that the seed of Iraqi Pilgrim was collected over a wide area of Iraq during a pilgrimage in the summer of 2016 and that three females and two males grown from it were used for the release.[4] Afghan Helmand, by its account, comes from seed in buds that a Danish soldier stationed in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, took home to Denmark.[5] SeedHeaven's listing of Pakistan Landrace says that its seed was collected in Pakistan in 2011 and then reproduced in Denmark.[6] The collective calls Royal Dane a local strain of Denmark with a long history. It reproduced the line from seed of 2006 given by the seed producer Hybrids From Hell.[7] SeedHeaven also lists under the collective's name a reproduction of Shirin Gol, an old heirloom from Tajikistan that, the listing says, Herbaria sourced and acclimatised to the Swiss climate in the early 2000s. The reproduction used 10 males and 12 females.[8]
Other releases reproduce older hybrids and cultivars, made for the collective by other breeders and growers. The collective calls Viking an old Dutch strain, probably made from an Afghan landrace.[9] It says that its Rosetta Stone was reproduced from original Brothers Grimm stock.[10] Maroc Inspiration, it says, was made from a line of Blue Hemp Seeds, a seed bank in Switzerland that is no longer active; the collective will do what it can to preserve some of that seed bank's work.[11] It calls Danish Passion a classic Danish outdoor hybrid.[12] Its Chocolate Diesel F2 was made for it in 2016 from six F1 females and two F1 males.[13] SeedHeaven's listing of Lost Skunk F2 says that the collective released it "In staying with our commitment", to let growers explore old-school genetics from around the world.[14]
The Landrace Team also sells Aunt of Farouk. Its listing credits the "DergCorra Collective", which it says "saved this line and spread it around".[15]
Sales
SeedHeaven says it opened in 2013 and sells seed from smaller, local breeders.[16] In October 2026 it listed 14 lines under the collective's name, most of them at €30 a pack.[2] At that time the shop did not ship to the United States or the United Kingdom. It sells its seed as collectors' items only.[17]
