2016 DCC Aunt of Farouk Reproduction is a seed accession of Aunt of Farouk, a cannabis line released by the Derg Corra Collective and sold through the online seed shop SeedHeaven. The collective calls it a wild Pakistani strain, and SeedHeaven's listing gives it the alias Wild Pakistan.[1]

Geography

The collective's description places the source of the seed in a small village in Pakistan. It does not name the village or say where in Pakistan it is.[1]

Collection Details

According to the description, the seed was given to the writer by a man named Farouk "over the last 40 years". Farouk had collected it in a small village behind his aunt and uncle's house, and when he asked his uncle about it, the uncle said only that they sow, harvest and smoke. The collective adds that there might be a hint of Indian sativa in the seed, but that it is not sure.[1][2]

Cultivation Details

The seed on sale was made by open pollination, and the collective expects several phenotypes in it, including one with a berry character. It calls the line mostly indica and gives a flowering time of 9 to 10 weeks. It recommends growing it organically, "as they do in pakistan", and warns that the top leaves can claw quickly from too much nitrogen, in which case it advises feeding clean water for the next few waterings.[1]

Aroma

The listing describes a smell that ranges from berries to burnt rubber and an earthy, sweet, hashy taste.[1]
