Western Karnataka (Kolar) General Population is a landrace cannabis accession from Kolar District, Karnataka, India, named as one of several lines an Overgrow forum member says were "given to me personally by cocogenes".[1] It does not appear in Coco Genes' own archived catalogue.

The source names the district only, inside a wider description of "Western Karnataka"; no locality, coordinate or elevation is stated.[1]
Collection Details
On 30 April 2024 the Overgrow member vinu58ster wrote: "I have some Indian landrace cultivars given to me personally by cocogenes, including: Kerala Selection 2020 Malana Selection 2020 Shillong Selection 2020 Western Karnataka (Kolar) Selection."[1] Beyond the district name and the fact of the gift from Coco Genes, the post states no material, no locality within the district and no collection date. This accession represents only the Western Karnataka (Kolar) element of that sentence; the Kerala, Malana and Shillong elements are drafted separately (see the talk page for the cross-references). Unlike those three, this element's own name in the post carries no year.
