2024 ATA Lashkar Gah Reproduction is a seed accession of Lashkar Gah, an Afghan line that ATAO Genetics reproduces and gives away free. ATAO called it in 2024 "a repro F3 of an Afghan Lashkar Gah heirloom".^[1] The name is that of Lashkar Gah, in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

Collection Details

According to ATAO, the line came from seed imported from Afghanistan by a friend of another grower, a worker for a non-governmental organisation. That grower reproduced it some years before giving seed to ATAO.^[2]^[3] No place within Afghanistan and no date are given.

Cultivation Details

ATAO's plants of May 2025 were labelled "Afghan Lashkar Gah P2", and it began harvesting a P3 in July 2025.^[3]^[4] In August 2025 it offered the line free of charge.^[5] ATAO's website lists "Lashkar Gah" among its free seed at P3.^[6]

Botanical Characteristics

ATAO says the seeds are large, like those of the lines Deep Chunk and X18 or a little larger, and reports various aromas and good potency.^[2]
