2006 ATA Mazar-i-Sharif IBL is a seed accession of the Mazar-i-Sharif line that ATAO Genetics has selected since 2009 from a single pack of seed sold by The Real Seed Company.[1] That seed, from Winter 2006, has its own accession, Mazar-i-Sharif General Population 2006. ATAO calls the line an inbred line (IBL) and also names it Mazari.[1][2]

Cultivation Details

ATAO's account of the line, posted in March 2023, starts from two parents chosen out of one pack: a large female with a strawberry and bubblegum scent, kept alive by cloning for four years, and a shorter male with wider leaves. ATAO labels their offspring F2. Another grower then crossed the clone with selected F2 males, a generation labelled F2BX (2011). ATAO grew a third generation indoors from the F2 and the F2BX, labelled F3BX2 (2016), and released its F4 of 2021 through the shops ZenHouseGardens, SeedHeaven and Hemp Depot.[1] A forum post of December 2013 by the same breeder dates the first F2 seed to an outdoor harvest in the winter of 2009.[3]

In May 2022 the line's listing on Hemp Depot called it the "4th generation of my fruity line found in 2009 from landrace seeds".[4] The listing of 2026 calls it "Mazar-I-Shariff IBL F5" and says that the F3 to F5 were grown indoors "with open pollination".[5] ATAO's own website called the line "Mazari" at P5 in October 2026; SeedHeaven's listing calls it "Mazar-I-Sharif IBL".[2][6]

Botanical Characteristics

The listing describes "big oily resinous plants" and says that the line varies between sativa and indica types, which flower at different times. It gives an indoor flowering time of 9 to 14 weeks.[5]

Aroma

According to the listing, the aromas range "from fruity strawberry, peach and citrus to diesel kush and leather".[5]

Effects

The listing calls the high mellow and long-lasting, more sedative at high doses, and better suited to relaxing than to activity. It calls the mental effects "creative, spiritual and dreamy".[5]
