Cultivation

Planting season

The crop is short-day, planted from March to May. The landrace selection is grown from seed kept on the farm; the feral selection comes from a self-reproducing population.

Harvest

The plants are harvested from September to December. Flowering time is 16 to 20 weeks and plant height is 1.5 to 3 m.

Processing

The crop is made into charas.

Accessions

The two accessions were collected under the expedition code HIMA01 from the 2022 harvest, both named for Sharam Thatch: a selection, classified as landrace, and a feral selection. Éloïse collected both.
