Lan Saka (also Lansaka) is a landrace cannabis appellation in the Nakhon Si Thammarat growing area, in Lan Saka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand. Its six accessions were collected at Ban Kachon, at 214 m.
Geography
The appellation is Lan Saka District outside the Khiri Wong valley. The six accessions share one point at Ban Kachon, on the eastern flank of the Khao Luang range. The Kiriwong appellation adjoins it to the north; its seed accession was collected about 16 km north of Ban Kachon.
Cultivation
All six accessions are landrace general populations from the 2023 harvest, in two lots of three named for Ban Kachon.
They describe a crop sown directly from seed kept on the farm, for recreation and medicine, grown in rotation in a single field or household plot, with a flowering time of 20 to 24 weeks and a plant height of 2 to 3 m. Cultivation is inactive. The collectors class the population as pure landrace. The local name is กัญชา. Éloïse and Isabella collected all six on the NST03 expedition, with a collection date of 15 April 2025.
