Voroshilov 5215 is a herbarium accession of weedy cannabis gathered near the village of Lyanchikhe, in the Vladivostok raion of Primorsky Krai, Russia, on 26 September 1950 by Voroshilov, and named on its label Cannabis ruderalis Janisch. The Main Botanical Garden of the Russian Academy of Sciences holds the sheet as MHA0301431.[1]
Collection and locality
The printed label is that of the Гербарий Главного ботанического сада Академии наук СССР (Herbarium of the Main Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR). It is completed by hand Cannabis ruderalis Janisch., Приморский край, Владивостокский район, бл. с. Ленчи…е, сорное. (Primorsky Krai, Vladivostok raion, near the village of Lenchi…e; weedy), № 5215 and 26 IX 1950 г., and signed against the printed собрал and определил (collected, determined) with a single signature ending Ворошилов. Above it, a separate slip names the plant Cannabis sativa L. by hand, over a printed 195… Определ. (determined, 195…) left blank.[2] The village is very probably Lyanchikhe (Лянчихе), a Korean village of the Primorye whose site lies within today's Vladivostok. The catalogue gives the collector as Voroshilov and the date, and a point that it marks as not taken from the label.[1]
Specimen and identification
The sheet carries one long stem with its roots and a leafy top with large palmate leaves.[2] The label names the plant Cannabis ruderalis Janisch.; the slip above it, undated and unsigned, names it Cannabis sativa L., the name under which the catalogue files it.[2][1]
