Lagkitan 2022 is a seed accession of the cannabis line that The Landrace Team (TLT) offers under the name Lagkitan. TLT calls it a sativa line from the Philippines and names its origin Ubec, which it glosses as Cebu.[1] TLT says that lagkit means "sticky" in the local language.[1]
Geography
TLT's specification line names the origin "Ubec (Philippines)", at a latitude of 10° N and an elevation of 1,800 m. Its description calls the line "genetic from the Philippines (Cebu)" and says that it comes "from Ubec (Cebu In The Western World)".[1]
Collection Details
Cultivation Details
TLT puts the vegetative stage at 12 to 13 weeks and flowering at 11 to 14 weeks, and calls the yield high. It says that the plants resist pests, fungi, disease and wet conditions, and that they have endured extremely strong winters.[1]
Botanical Characteristics
TLT describes plants of 1.8 to 2.5 m with medium internodes, medium-width stems that are hollow in most phenotypes, and large, thin, strongly serrated leaves of five, seven and nine leaflets with red and purple petioles. It says that the plants grow in a conical, Christmas-tree shape until the end of the vegetative stage. In the purple phenotypes the floral clusters then lose their symmetry and form wheat-like spikes, and TLT likens some phenotypes to a scorpion's tail; the green phenotypes flower more compactly and symmetrically, with more resin.[1]
Aroma
TLT describes aromas that are earthy, citrus, peach, mint, musk, floral, grape, mango, candied tangerine and sweet gummy. It says that rubbed stems smell of citrus and peach, that the purple phenotypes smell of mint and flowers and that the green phenotypes have a fruitier profile.[1]
Effects
TLT calls the effect powerful, energising, electrical, very euphoric and long-lasting.[1]
