DNC detains an Indian passenger from a Bangkok flight with 4.28 kg of Kush hidden under sarees at Shahjalal airport

bdnews24 reported that the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) detained a 40-year-old Indian national from North 24 Parganas district at the Green Channel of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Wednesday 14 October, after he arrived on Thai Airways flight TG-321 from Bangkok. A DNC team led by an assistant director of its Dhaka Metro North Shahjalal Airport office found 4.28 kg of Kush, described as a cannabis-based drug, beneath three sarees in his trolley bag. The DNC said an international ring operating across three countries uses low-income Indians to smuggle drugs into Bangladesh and has been trying to create a market there for Kush.
