Rajshahi range police report 2.7 kg of cannabis seized in a 24 hour drive

Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha reported that Rajshahi range police arrested 183 people during a 24 hour special drive and filed 54 cases. Items recovered included 2.708 kilogrammes of cannabis, 22 grammes of heroin, 122 yaba tablets, 322 tapentadol tablets, two firearms with ammunition and quantities of foreign and locally produced liquor. The arrest total spans offences including murder, theft, cyber crime and outstanding warrants and is not broken down by substance, so it cannot be attributed to cannabis. The cannabis recovered is a single line item within a general law and order sweep rather than the focus of the operation.
