Loralai district administration reviews a survey to identify cannabis cultivation
Daily Independent reported that a district level meeting in Loralai on 13 September 2026, chaired by the deputy commissioner Muhammad Haseeb Shuja, reviewed a campaign and survey to identify cannabis cultivation in the district and agreed to strengthen coordinated action against illegal drug related activity. The report names the senior superintendent of police Fahad Ahmed, the additional deputy commissioner Ali Nawaz Jamali, the sub divisional police officer Muhammad Azam and representatives of the provincial excise and anti narcotics department, police and other law enforcement agencies as attending. According to the report officials reviewed survey findings, reports received from different areas and data submitted by departments regarding possible cannabis cultivation. The deputy commissioner directed officials to complete the survey within the stipulated timeframe, to ensure verification of the collected data and to take action in accordance with the law wherever cultivation is identified. The report gives no area, plant count or arrest figure, and describes no destruction.
