Algerian customs seize 9.73 kg of cannabis resin in Adrar

The communication unit of the Directorate General of Customs reported on 8 September 2026 that the mobile brigade of the Adrar divisional customs inspectorate, acting with detachments of the People's National Army, had seized 9.730 kg of kif traité in Adrar wilaya. According to the communiqué the seizure arose from the routine control and surveillance work the customs services carry out in areas exposed to cross border trafficking. The Béchar regional customs directorate, which covers Adrar, presented the operation as part of continuing joint work against smuggling and organised cross border crime. No origin is stated for the consignment.
