Algerian army reports foiling attempts to bring in 482 kg of treated kif from the Moroccan border in a week

Horizons reported that a weekly operational report from the People's National Army, released on Wednesday 14 October 2026, said that combined detachments, in coordination with other security services, had intercepted 47 drug traffickers between 7 and 13 October 2026 and foiled attempts to bring in 4 quintals and 82 kilograms of kif traité, about 482 kg, from the borders with Morocco. The report adds that 368,937 psychotropic tablets were seized over the period. The bulletin is a national weekly aggregate across military regions and does not name individual seizure sites.
