Police, Army and PDEA personnel uproot about 2,000 marijuana plants at Sitio Catablaran in Cabanglasan, Bukidnon

The Philippine Daily Inquirer reported that joint personnel of the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Army and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency uprooted some 2,000 fully grown marijuana plants at Sitio Catablaran, Barangay Canangaan, Cabanglasan, near the border with Agusan del Sur, after a tip-off from a civilian. The article says the plantation was discovered on Friday 14 August, the raiding team was mobilised on 12 August and completed the operation on the afternoon of 15 August, and the plants were burned on site with samples kept for laboratory testing. It values the plants at P400,000 and says this was the second major eradication in the area this year, after a raid on 28 February.
