Mie Aceh is a noodle dish of Aceh. Indonesia's tourism ministry describes it as served either fried (mie goreng) or as a soup (mie kuah), with toppings such as crab, beef or seafood, and spiced with cardamom, cumin, turmeric, red chilli, black pepper, garlic and celery leaves.[2]
The Transnational Institute's 2016 briefing on cannabis in Indonesia names "Acehnese noodles" among the local dishes in which Acehnese people use cannabis seed for flavour, for moisture and to a lesser extent for colour. It cites interviews by Lingkar Ganja Nusantara among its sources for the passage.[1]: 4 Musanna, Nabilah and Suip, in a 2024 sociological study of cannabis seed in Acehnese cooking, write that "some people use processed cannabis seasoning in Aceh noodles".[3]: 85
