Greek Kalamata Red 2022 is a seed accession of the cannabis line that Hippie Cannabis Genetics (HCG) sells as Greek Kalamata Red. HCG calls it a very rare sativa landrace from the region of Kalamata in Greece.[1]
History
HCG says that the line had some underground "fame" in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and that it is now grown mostly by small family cultivators who have kept it for generations.[1]
The earliest dated mention of the line as HCG's found is a post of 29 December 2022 on the growers' forum Overgrow, in which the member TestOfOath listed "Greek Kalamata Red - Hippie Cannabis Genetics" among the seeds in their collection.[2]
Aroma
HCG describes a strong citrus and earthy hashish smell and taste.[1]
Effects
HCG calls the effect cerebral, happy and euphoric.[1]
