Dmitrieva s.n. is a herbarium accession of Cannabis sativa gathered on a fallow in the environs of the Fedulev settlement, in the Teplovsky raion of the Ural okrug of the Kazak ASSR, in today's western Kazakhstan, on 18 June 1929 by A. Dmitrieva of the Kazakhstan soil and botanical expedition. The Moscow University Herbarium holds the sheet as MW0818722.[1]
Collection and locality
The printed label is that of the Наркомзем Казакской АССР. Казакстанская почвенно-ботаническая экспедиция под руководством проф. Б. П. Серебрякова (People's Commissariat of Agriculture of the Kazak ASSR; Kazakhstan soil and botanical expedition under the direction of Prof. B. P. Serebryakov). It is completed by hand Cannabis sativa L., Уральский округ, Тепловский район, бывш. Красновская вол., окрестн. Федулеева поселка. (Ural okrug, Teplovsky raion, former Krasnovskaya volost, environs of the Fedulev settlement), a habitat line naming a fallow of a kind that is not clearly legible, and 1929 г. 18/VI; it is signed as collected and determined by А. Дмитриева (A. Dmitrieva). An oval stamp marks the sheet as a duplicate (ДУБЛИКАТ).[2] The catalogue gives the collector and the date, with no locality.[1]
Specimen and identification
The sheet carries two plants on blue-grey paper: a branched, leafy one and a slender one.[2] Dmitrieva named the plant Cannabis sativa L. A typed slip gives the redetermination of the sheet by E. Small of Canada Agriculture in August 1975 as Cannabis sativa L., the name under which the catalogue files it.[2][1]
